Outaouais
tourist region

In the Outaouais, happiness comes on two wheels, with bike paths and routes for all ability levels. Explore the National Capital Region’s 600 km of recreational pathways—with so many trails to choose from, you may never take the same one twice! Outside the city, discover trails where you’re more likely to meet a deer than another cyclist. Near Maniwaki, in the northern part of the region, the Véloroute des Draveurs (“log drivers’ bike route”) is ideal for cycle touring and wilderness camping. In the Pontiac, take a spin along the Cyloparc PPJ, a bike path built on the old Pontiac Pacific Junction railroad tracks. Along the 92 km stretch you’ll cycle through farmland, marshes, fields and forests. Hilly or flat, cycling in the Outaouais is never dull!
